okay, so that might be a bit of a lie.
i am a 24 year-old student at purdue university, planning to graduate in december of this year (2008). my degree is in professional writing (minor in computer and information technology). as you can guess, i'm a bit of a technology junkie.
i'm a social media enthusiast (read: i love sites like digg, facebook, youtube, etc.). i'm that nerd that obsessively checks each of the sites she's a part of (check out my navigation!), posting regularly with inane things. yes, i'm that annoying.
i'm an aspiring technical writer/community manager. i'm interested in communication, usability, and documentation (weird combination). i'm also a bit of a workaholic, having held down a job, an internship, and five classes at one point. i don't think i know what to do with myself when i'm not busy. there's only so much sleeping i can take, so i tend to write instead.
now that companies know who i am...what else am i into?
i'm a major lover of music. you name it, i probably listen to it. my favorites: the flaming lips, starlight mints, fire flies, and much more. if you have a suggestion, let me know. chances are i'll think it's the greatest thing since sliced bread.
what do i do on the internet? mostly see what's out there. i'm a bit of a voyeur. people are interesting to me. i also design and post for for my group blog, and i'm working on entering the podcasting realm.
how about other things? well, i swing a pretty mean hammer (check out my bathroom demolition set on flickr). i take good care of my cat, kaedence. and i love playing with my camera. i am the mistress of inexpensive living. i go out to dinner with my father and other family members on thursday evenings. i've never seen the ocean. i do not like winter.
...and as you can see from my picture, i do "ugly" very well.
